Ambiance (5/5):

The atmosphere at Delta Cafe gave both the peaceful  Saturday morning Brunch and Saturday afternoon drinks with friends vibes. With ample seating both inside and out you could choose the vibe that fits your mood.

Inside you find a warm and peaceful mood dining with nature as two large trees grows between the tables, giving nature vibes on the inside and outside you sit between trees or on the deck with fairy lights over looking the Braamfontein spruit. We were lucky to have live music during our visit that set the atmosphere even more.

Culinary Delights (4/5):

We had a cappuccino, café latte, berry French toast, and a halloumi and mushroom croissant at Delta Café. The coffee was tasteful better than your average cup. Our food was delicious, however I would describe it as a light meal rather than a full breakfast. The French toast and berry syrup was delicious perfectly paired with whipped cream. The croissant was also delicious, although it would have earned a 5/5 rating with an additional sauce, perhaps sweet chili.

Service (4.5/5):

The staff at Delta Café impressed us with their friendly demeanor and attentive service. Our waiter struck the perfect balance, being present when we needed assistance while also allowing us to enjoy our meal and drinks in solitude.

Price Point (4.5/5):

We ended our brunch with a rose gin and tonic and a craft beer. The delicate infusion of rose added a fragrant and subtly floral note to the classic gin and tonic, providing a refreshing and sophisticated twist that perfectly complemented the vibrant atmosphere of the café.

The food at Delta Cafe is delicious and reasonably priced. The menu offers a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as a wide selection of coffee, tea, and alcoholic. Breakfast dishes start at around R48, lunch dishes start at around R55, and dinner dishes start at around R90. Coffee and tea are around R25, and milkshakes are around R40.

Final Verdict:

Overall, we had a great experience at Delta Cafe. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was both friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend Delta Cafe & Don Quixote to anyone looking for a great place to meet up with friends, get some work done, or simply unwind with a cup of coffee.

During our next visit, we’re excited to try their wood-fired oven pizza. If you’ve had the opportunity to visit, please share your experience with us in the comments below.
