Our experience picking strawberries at The Cradle Berry Farm.
The strawberry field is absolutely beautiful, and as you wander around the next row and plant has an even bigger and juicier strawberry waiting. We’ve spend +- 2 hours picking and eating strawberries, whereafter we’ve taken a break from the sun sitting and indulging even further in their delicious strawberries. A strawberry picked directly from the plant is sweeter than I could’ve imagined.
Cradle Berry Farm is the perfect weekend outing for the whole family with ample to do. There is seating and tables available in and around the strawberry fields, and they welcome picnic baskets.
Pack a picnic basket with cream, chocolates and something to eat or order from their kiosk. Spending the day here will ensure the kids get some much needed time in the sun and the beautiful outdoors. There is a playground that will keep them busy the entire day and they can get up close an personal with lovely farm animals.
The Cradle Berry Farm does not only provide a fun day outdoors picking strawberries, but they also hosts functions and weddings. The have a lovely spot nestled between trees, if you’ve dreamed of a wedding with a forest aesthetic this is the place for you. They have accommodation options and a a venue to host your corporate functions just outside Johannesburg, the perfect break away from the city for team functions.
