Our Experience at Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij
We’ve attended the cheese tour and tasting and absolutely loved it. Anja the guide explained the cheese making process from start to finish and her personality made the entire experience more interesting. We’ve definitely learned a few interesting facts about cheesemaking. Our favourite gouda at the cheese tasting was by far the herb gouda and in second place was the chilli gouda.
Van Gaalen Farm is the perfect family friendly place to visit over the weekend. They have several hiking and mountain biking routes for every fitness level. The children will be kept busy with the gel blaster course (think paintball meeting gel) as well as the zipline amongst others. The Terrace restaurant is situated beneath the trees with an overview of the Magaliesberg mountains, the perfect way to end the day.
