Our Experience at Harold Johnson Nature Reserve

The hike was amazing with stunning views of the reserve and the Tugela River. The hike was not too difficult, the terrain does have some slight inclines and descends over the course of the hike. We would advise to take water with and a hat, perhaps some bug spray for the mosquitos.

Upon arrival we searched for a bit to find someone to pay the entrance fee to (R20 pp in 2022). Overall a stunning place and most definitely a hidden gem in KwaZulu Natal.
